A great team, who in the previous season finished second in the old first division and reached the FA Cup Semi Final.
Respect.
Respect indeed.
Other teams fans think that we were s**t before Cloughy arrived but the team above proves that is utter nonsense.

Was in the Bridgford Hotel car park as it was known in those days - It was after a night match and it was peeeing down with rain - my car wouldn't start and Jim drove into the car park to drop someone else off who he just gave a lift to from the Main Stand Car Park - I know, it was only a couple of hundred yards but the heavens had really opened up.
He saw me struggling but he couldn't help - but he did ask if he could give me a lift home - I replied "No you can't do that, I live in Ravenshead" He assured me it was no problem and he took me all the way home.
We had a great conversation on the way and when he said he lived in Ruddington I felt quite guilty and I couldn't get over how nice the guy was - something I'll never forget!!!
He'd never ventured that far North before and I always wonder to this day how he found his way home.
