Jim Brennan - Hit or Flop?

For the record I will say he was a hit.

Brennan was a hit for me. Think he played about 150 games over 4 or 5 seasons. Can't grumble.

I agree on Brennan, we had some good players around that time.

What about Goalkeeper Paul Smith?

120 appearances over 6 years.

Flop - if only he would’ve come off his line occasionally to take a cross.
How about Alan Davidson?

Agree on Smith. I thought he was poor the majority of his time with us.

My memory of Davidson is blurred so I won't comment on him.

Smith broke records for us and was badly let down at times by inexperienced defending from Wilson, Morgan and Chambers.

Wilson was always a fraud in my eyes.

Reading back through the thread here is my take on things so far.

Curran - Hit.
Holt - Hit.
John - Flop.
Brennan - Hit.
Smith - Flop.

Former Manchester United defender John Curtis who played 79 games for us between 2005-2007. That was the most number of games he played for any club during his career.

In my opinion he never lived up to his name and he was a very disappointing flop.

Alan Davidson only played a few games for us before having a Fit during a reserve match at the city ground,
looked to be a promising full back but his illness if that's the right word held him back and he went back to oz.
