Agree Madforit. It is a long and hard season and it would be good for Carvalho to have somebody older to share the #10 burden with. I believe Tomlin could be a good mentor for Carvalho as well.

Need to give Carvalho plenty of games to get the experience (he is only young so shouldn't be too much of a burden) and we already have players who can play that position in Soudani and Lolley, even Brereton and Osborn if it is.

I think I would rather have Oliveira.

See your point but a 46-games-season can be hard not only physically but also mentally. I agree that we have players who could step in to cover but none of them are natural #10 play makers. Tomlin definitely are.

Give me Vuk, Byram and Hugill or Olive and Forest fans are looking at Autos. Three loans or one perm and two loans? Signings that would be worth pushing the boat out for. We def' need a RB. But a CM of VUk's magnitude plus a quality striker. It's two more players because we know we need the RB. SA.

Not fussed about a striker to be honest when you have a plan of 1 up front you have to manage game time and it starts tonight, if and I suspect he will Grabban starts we drop a striker who scored in his last game
Ok I know it was only donkey Murphy, however I don't subscribe to that I think its counter productive, start doing that to the likes of Grabban and Co and the rot can set in and you end up with no in form strikers I would love to see real pace added to our pack of cards that sits behind Grabbs Benny and Murphy I think we will get Byram but if we don't again I'm not losing too much sleep if we don't he has to work with what he has and start to look at the likes of Cash to step in and step up I'm very positive all is in hand mind and I'm already over the moon so I don't really care

As reported elsewhere, The Sunday People are saying that Forest have agreed a season long loan deal with Cardiff for Tomlin.
If true I would be happy to have him on board breathing down Carvalho's back and pushing him on.
COYR!

Was just hoping for someone a little better Duncan - shows how expectations have heightened I guess...
