Reds v Huddersfield
A few extra snippets.... You just know that Diakhaby will have his best game in 2 years. I assume we let him play ? I'm amazed we didn't put in his loan contract that he has to play against us. 75% thought we would beat Wigan....30% think we wont lose to Forest....lets see. Woeful now for 3.5 years. Just had a look back. Last 137 competitive matches...28 wins. Has to be the lowest ever recorded by a league team? Just 114 goals...is that also a low? Only 10 wins by more than a single goal in that period. The stats would be even worse without the FA cup included! Abysmal....Forest win and the 5/1 relegation will look huge. Far too many Sean Scannells these last 3 years....promise much, deliver nothing (I see he has been released by Blackpool). Ah yes, a further example of the universally adopted 137 sample batch quantity. The Holy Grail of lab technicians the World over. It's hard to see beyond a defeat but you never know. Some winnable games today for teams down at the bottom too, so the table could look shit after this weekend. They must show a massive improvement in fitness and performance though, to give us some hope for some of the games to follow that aren't as tough on paper as this one. OK I'm feeling fairly negative this morning... £5 on 4-0 Forest@ 70/1 with Vic. £10 on Hudds to be relegated@ 5/1 with Hills. At least that will bring some comfort if the worst happens, and I'll be quite happy to lose a tenner if it doesn't. But apart from Luton at home, I can't see where we're gonna get another point. Noticed Forest are 5/4 tomorrow which seems higher than I would have thought. That is very tempting, but somehow Huddersfield always find a way of letting you down, even when you want them to. After beating eventual champions Derby in November 1971 to getting relegated to Division 4, our record was 156 league games played, 36 wins...….I thought that was bad! I think tomorrow's match will be particularly interesting - everybody - management,Bromby, PH, players - say we were playing really well since we came back. Tomorrow will either confirm this to a ceratin extent or will really be depressing. The glimmer of hope I have suggests we will surprise Forest, but the way we played last week - and several of the players - suggests we could really be in a mess by tea-time on Sunday. Does any of the anger & frustration expressed by the fans across social media of last week’s performance actually filter through to the staff & (more importantly) players? Are they even aware we could go down? Last week was clearly nowhere near good enough & a big improvement is required in all remaining games if we’re to stay up now. I genuinely did not see us being threatened with relegation even after the Leeds game but with some of our relegation rivals starting to get some decent results, I am extremely fearful of a repeat of the 2000/01 season under Macari. No fight + no playing strategy + no desire + stupid individual mistakes = no chance. This is correct, who knows if players and staff see fans frustrations online. However what they produced against Wigan was of a standard that simply wasn't good enough. I really fear relegation at the moment unfortunately and usually I am an optimistic person. Forest are 5/4 tomorrow - I’m not one to promote silly gambling but lump everything you can on that. This bunch haven’t got an ounce of fight in them Nothing less than 3 points needed tomorrow looking at the results coming through today. Really can't see it though, especially after that lazy, half arsed showing against Wigan. I think league 1 is a strong possibility at this rate I'm afraid. The players didn't look even slightly interested last week. looking like a must win game for Town... The management have been dealt an awful hand by previous management teams. Little, if anything, is their responsibility. They started to get us off the mat, but the problems we have are deep-rooted and will need more than a sticking plaster. We need a full overhaul, and I have faith that the Cowleys are the men to do that. Tomorrow is massive. We need to assert ourselves from the off and play as a team with desire and heart. We can beat Forest, we can beat Birmingham. Win those two and it'll be very different. Fail to beat them, though, and I feel our fate may be sealed. No, footballers do not do responsibility. They are like business owners....when its going well its their doing....when its going badly its everyone else. Not saying players never hurt but not in the same way and especially with a big payout whatever happens. It was very simple until the 1960's. 2) Right Back, 3) Left Back, 4) Right Half, 5) Centre Half, 6) Left Half, 7) Outside Right, 8) Inside Right, 9) Centre Forward, 10) Inside Left, 11) Outside Left. Once 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 came in any number might be anywhere and then of course came squads. Anyway, Good Luck on Sunday. I'm a big admirer of the Cowleys. Should the worst happen this season there'll be reason for optimism with Danny and Nicky in charge. I take it from your user name (& small number of posts) you're a Sunderland fan ? I am indeed. I hope you aren't going to copy our back to back relegations of a couple of years ago. I predicted before you played Stoke early this season, with neither of you having picked up a win, that you'd both stay up. It looked like I was right when lockdown arrived but you're both back in trouble just now. Everyone at the bottom looks capable of making a decent fist of it so I couldn't call it, although if Hull don't go down McCann will deserve a medal. I still think the Cowleys will pull you through. As for my own team, there's really nothing to say other than we've been a textbook example of how not to run a club over the last ten years and the sorry state we're in today was entirely predictable. No mouine tomorrow What’s the source of this news please ? light training this week , more likely to see him at Birmingham but Campbell is fully fit

Huddersfield Fans Comments Pre KO and during the Game
If we win today, we're not guaranteed to stay up. If we lose today, we're not guaranteed to go down. Ergo, it's not a must win game. I'd be delighted with a point. Frankly, I'd settle for losing but looking like they give a shit. I'm expecting 3-0 with Forest never getting out of 2nd gear. Trying to be positive but can’t see anything but us laying down and getting our tummy tickled. Prove us wrong please boys. Hope the lads show passion and desire today , if we lose 1-0 or 2-1 but look better than we did last week I'll take that and with Birmingham and preston in bad form I reckon we might have a chance to beat them I have a feeling we will beat forest today and honestly I don't know why. Sods Law says 2-0 Forest Lolley and Diakhaby. All being well Sods Law has been repealed .... 4 central midfielders in the starting lineup and 5 on the bench (including stankovic). Awful balance to that team, how has it got to this after 2 seasons in the big time, so depressing Have we scored yet? Lucky there to not be 1-0 down. Toffolo all over again, Lolley destroys him and no one is anywhere near Ameobi 15 yards out. Very lucky it isn't 1-0 Getting murdered down our left. Tofollo playing so far up is going to be a dangerous tactic, they’ve got down our right side a few times now What is wrong with Toffolo? Is he drunk? Did we not plan to deal with Lolley? Town looking good going forward. Some decent play from our lads. They still look a little sus defending though. Based on what I've seen so far, we've got a very good chance of a result here. Keep it up lads! Penalty surely?? Hahahahahaha nailed on penalty. That is a blatant penalty. Pathetic. Watson doesn't touch the ball there, but Pritchard goes down far too easily. Can see why it wasn't given, but it could have been. Probably would have been at the other end of the pitch. Every player in the country goes down too easily. If you don't go down you don't get decisions. It is 100% a penalty. Anyone with any knowledge of the game knows that. Nearly an OG there by Forest Town on top You know Forest will score Playing them off the park we really need to capitalise and put one away one thing i will say is that forest are a reet set of dirty bassas. The ref seems to be in their pocket as no bookings as of yet. you can bet your ass we'll get a booking first. If we keep pressing Forest's back four when they pass it out from the back, we can easily force a mistake. There's plenty of hope if we can keep them out at the other end. Baffling how Forest are up near the top. because they score goals....... 1-0 forest And there we have it, completely against the run of play. Hello League 1 Shit. .. they could even make half time That's it then Havent won away from behind for about 5 years Two at the back post and the ball falls for their lad. Game over Played ok without threatening, Forest have had the better chances and were bound to take one of them. Need to show some bollocks now I can't see where a goal for us is coming from. Defence should have been pushing out before that ball came in. But Forest have cut through us quite easily on their occasional attacks. Its not great defending obviously, but credit to Grabban, it's a pretty shit hot finish coming over the top of the defender Aside from set pieces we’ve created the square root of f**k all. Can’t see where the goals are going to come from. HT

Halftime and 2nd Half
Ball goes well out the box, you know its gonna be crossed back in.. Nobody gets out, keeper is stood on his line??? Cross onto the 6 yard box and keeper is still on his line , we haven't moved up an inch and 6 defenders are lost in the middle, bunched and static?? So much wrong with that goal its u10s at best.. Good strike, defenders moving up, keeping taking a few steps forward and the strike never happens.. Earlier on we displayed ball watching to it's best whilst ameobi hit the post.. Ffs lolley isnt scoring, pick up a f*****g man... Other than that we did ok, definite penalty and ameobi having square knees we might be winning.. Half time. A step up from last week, with at least a bit more energy in the performance from Town. Pritchard has been at the centre of almost all town's attacks and been lively, but typically not a lot has come from them. Willock and O'Brien either side of him haven't offered much threat. We must have had the greater share of possession again but Forest did look far more able to fashion decent chances when they did attack. Toffolo looked vulnerable and Schindler is not what he was. Unfortunately we rely on Toffolo getting forward to offer one of our only threats yet we're not good at covering his runs defensively. Duhaney has done ok so far and even had a decent couple of crosses. I can't see us coming back from this but at least there's been a bit of heart this week. at least they get to go in for their half time cuddle from the Cowleys. Watson seemed intent on intimidating Pritchard out of the game in the first half. Perhaps another Forest player will take on the clogging the little fellow role. Strange we’ve not changed anything and it's 2-0 straight away Was that offside . Excellent start lads...not. Well, that's that then. We don't even give ourselves a chance do we? Holy shit we are atrocious. Pathetic So we kickoff the 2nd half, and less than a minute later it's game over. There's no way in this universe or any other that we're going to get anything from this game now Grabban is their main threat and we don't mark him properly - unbelievable! Awww Danny Cowley... your half time kisses and cuddles didn't motivate them 5/4 was printing money Concede just before half time and then just after. Textbook relegation play Look at the positive side, if you are going to go 2-0 down, might as well do it in the first minute after half time! SMH I watched the Sunderland till I die documentary during lockdown and the similarities now looking back are alarmingly similar both clubs toxic from top to bottom, the slide is almost identical 2-0 down and we call for Chalobah, that’s enough for today I’m off for a walk and some fresh air Pritchard shaking his head and I agree how Willock is on this f*****g pitch still is beyond me. How many chances does Watson get before a 2nd yellow ? Defensively we are a joke. Don’t know what the Cowleys have been doing since they’ve returned to training but it ain’t working. This should be 4 or 5. Remember when Joe Lolley wasnt good enough for Town? The difference between the keepers is startling Theirs is always on his toes and off his line to cut out crosses. Those same crosses would have flashed across our goal with Lossl glued to his line The first goal is a high looping ball that their keeper (Or any decent keeper for that matter) would have been off their line and punching away. It was in the air for an age The one song Forest sound track wants turning off Bring back Hef if only to shake these fookers up Sleep walking to another relegation. I'm bored senseless!! 3-0 Oooo look, teams can score from corners. f**k off Town you useless spineless wankers top to bottom the club is royally f****d Can't defend a cross if our manager can't organise a defence he needs getting rid of. Forest aren't even that good or needed to do much at all It seems absolutely no homework done on how Forest attack. Bacuna three match ban This ref is f*cking shit. That is never a red. Why has he not given it. F*cking bottleless Never a red. Yellow would be fine in those circumstance He hacked a man down when he knew it was a dead ball - our dead ball! He deserves a red card for lunacy let alone violent conduct And yet if the referee blows his whistle quick enough for the free kick, Bacuna's challenge never happens. The referee was far too slow then. Pretty much expected this result today before KO but at least there has been some effort which I couldn’t say the same of last week. Unfortunately though, there’s an air of inevitability about all this. Players have given up. They don’t give a shit. I decided not to watch this one after last week. I won't watch any more this season. It won't make a difference to the club but it is much better for my mental state. For the last, what, 4 seasons we have not been able to score goals. It is just incredible with changes of players and managers we still just can't score goals. We will need a rebuild next season and I do believe now it will be in League 1. I have already renewed my season card so I am just hoping the club give me something worth watching next season. How is this only 3-0. Embarrassing performance and should have been done 5 or 6. Wonder how all those who couldn't wait for football to come back are feeling now? We need Neil Warno... oh shit. He would have kept us up short term. Penalty Penalty. We’re back in it And now he gives a f*****g penalty. Should have done that when it was 0-0 you dick head. Positive - prediction league. Forest 3-1 Town (Grant) Get in !!!! He deserved to miss that after his f*****g half arsed display Grant will be happy. Another goal to his tally. Totally undeserved. A lot better than last week (would be difficult not to be), but nothing to give me any confidence we're going to get out of this mess. I think the Cowleys put too much emphasis on tactics rather than character, and you need character when you're in this situation. No way the ref would have given that if it could have affected the result. Goal for Grant his abysmal performance so richly didn't deserve Ah well, move on. A pen, thanks Ref. Maybe if you'd have given the first one when it mattered this might be a different game and a different DATM. That's the problem with shit decisions, they have a massive bearing on the outcome. 1-0 up, tails up. We were doing OK in the first half, but had the stuffing knocked out of us by a great finish and crap defending straight after the break... On to midweek then...

Aftermatch Comments....
If we had the money I would be doing what Middlesbrough did. Get Pulis in because while I like Cowley our recent run of form is dire and I don’t think he knows how to turn it round in time. But we don’t, so we won’t. It wasn't a red card offence. Yellow maybe but getting sent off for that is f*cking ridiculous. So how many red cards did Ben Watson get today for all his fouls with no intention of playing the ball? Doesn’t really matter does it, we’d of lost against 10 men today. Our main concern should be our completely and tactically inept management team and playing squad There's been a bad smell in the air all weekend... someone said muck spreading... smells like the festering spectre of relegation... Ignoring that dickhead of a ref and his decisions, that was a tactical mare. Our best centre mid starts on the left wing with 2 holding players. At 2 down we take off 1 holding player for another. We take off 1 centre half for another despite having a holding mid who can play there. We take off the 1 player who looked like doing anything whilst keeping 2 on who'd done absolutely nothing. We take our right back off and put an attacking mid there. We move our best centre mid from left wing to the right wing despite being left footed. Total shambles. I wonder if the marketing team will be sending out a season tkt renewel email after that. I’m starting to think the Cowleys are our of their depth. Easy to give at 3-0. Sign of a referee who knows he's f****d us today with that one. Gives it at 0-0 and it's a different game, and one I think we win. For all the histrionics here, I don't think we should have lost 3-1. We worked the keeper more, we had more positive moments, we just made individual errors and lacked penetration in front of goal. On the red card, not for me. Whistle's gone, their lad's legging it away to waste time, Bacuna legs him to get on with it. Book both for being stupid. But a red card is an easy out for the ref, so he sends him off; I doubt he'd have done the same earlier in the game because he was afraid of affecting the outcome. While I see the point people make about it being stupid, by the laws of the game it's not a red card. It can't be. It's a trip. It isn't violent conduct. If the same were to happen with the ball in play, it could only be a booking for the trip; we see it every game, fouling someone on the break. Booking. Appeal it. Right. Knee jerk time. I’ll see if I have the mentality for a reasoned response later but for now. DH has sold us down the river and is to blame for the majority of the shit were in. PH is an imposter, an egomaniac and just as much to blame as DH. These 2 have bent us over and arse f**ked the lot of us. The club is an absolute shower of sh**e from top to bottom. DC & NC are as much out out of their depth as Siewart. They have brought nothing. No pattern of play. No identity. No resolve. No tactical awareness and no motivation. We have zero attacking threat or creativity. The players aren’t taking any responsibility to try and create anything. Everyone is leaving it to everyone else. Even Hogg has had enough. When he can’t even be arsed to bollock anyone you know we’re in trouble. We are screwed big time. League 1 is calling and I am absolutely livid. If the ref does his f*****g job right it’s a different game. Everyone knows it’s a definite pen and Forest should have been down to 10 with ages to play. What I wouldn't give to have RVLP and Lolley back on the wings. And if it wasn't for Samba could have had at least 3 ourselves Can't fault the effort today. Bizarrely I thought we were the best team overall but we're struggling to score and too many lapses in defending. Miles better than last week though. We still have a fighting chance Partly agree Cap'n but 1. for all our improved play their goalkeeper didn't have a lot to do and 2. you CANNOT keep giving 1,2,3 goals away in a match and expect to get anything - Forest could easily have, undeservedly, scored 6. The bottom line speaks loudest. Forest beat us 3-1 at a canter

Cheers Joe, be interesting to see whether they are just awful or we were actually any good. Less confident after reading these. Still youve got to put away the bad teams

Also love how much abuse Watson gets every week in these comments. Great to have a player like him in our team
