This is just the dance that happens before a transfer happens. He probably wants to come to us so we've low-balled them with our initial offer. They've responded by quoting a top price. I doubt it's his life long ambition to play in Saudi.

Except this could be his last chance of a big contract - may still go to the club offering the most dough to the player...

We have offered 3m € and it has been turned down.

Saudis have offered 4m.

Basically he doesn’t have a release clause

Here you go !

Shame - suspect ( at the price ) we won’t get anyone better.
Unless AK has someone else in his sights from outside UK...

We certainly don't want to have to start turning to plan B,C,D etc.
It's very imporatant for Karanka to get his plan A targets in.

Damn, that would ruin my weekend.
Am I right in thinking that Algeria have an international lined up with Saudi Arabia at the weekend?
If that's the case then no doubt officials of Al Ahli will be present to try and tie up the deal  :@

there playing cape verde mate not saudi so you can breath fella  :)

as far as i have seen also there do-sent seem to have been any official stories from anywhere, just seems to be the middle eastern stories, i would have thought that the Croatian press would be the closest to story at he plays in Zagreb and they are the ones saying that he is coming to us.

There's more reports now, we haven't upped our bid to what they want and Al Ahli have simple as that it seems, we must have other targets.

ill wait and see what official channels come out with at the moment all this information is coming second hand from people writing about stuff that others have written, anyway will come down to where the player wants to go, cant force him to go to saudi if wants to come to england its as simple as that no matter what the saudi team have supposedly offered.

Thats it. It takes 3 parties to agree a transfer so if the lad doesn't want to go to Saudi then he can opt to stay put in Zagreb. His club then have to consider if they're prepared to stick their heels in and risk receiving 3m (quite a sum in Croatian football I would image).

It may take some Lansbury type player power from him to force the move.

Let's see what happens after the weekend once Algeria have got the match out of the way with Cape Verde.
You would expect him to fly over to England early next week IF he's really interested in joining us.

Yes, this one should play out to it’s conclusion in next few days
