Danny Taylor is a highly respected journalist with serious contacts in the game; he has won numerous journalistic awards both in this Country and abroad

Regardless of whether you like what he writes or not, he is a heavyweight journalist who would command a job at virtually any newspaper in print.

What he Tweeted is obviously a direct attack on Vrentzos, and his style of management.

He will be fully aware that if there are parts of his story that are not true he is in danger of being on the receiving end of legal action.

The Club can ignore what he wrote but that would be a pretty stupid thing to do; Taylor's Tweets will have captured the attention of other Journalists; Journalists who may not care how we are doing on the pitch but will not pass up on something like this.

They need to seriously consider a charm offensive.

I really think that some people on here are "barmy" Fawaz was taking us down the toilet, maybe some wanted that.

Six months ago we had a contract to upgrade 5 storage site for a major Brewery. In January we completed our second site, preparing for the third. When they threw 100k barrels down the pan in April we knew that the balance of work would not go ahead.

5 years ago we were awarded a project on 65 sites, Brexit came and we have done TWO.

If any of the experts here can predict what is going to happen with football please let us know.

When will crowds be allowed back, when will the pandemic be over.

The truth is they have no idea and I guess that the owners are in the same position.

If they know more they should join the prediction league.

Honestly... I think we would all take looking a bit of a prat if it meant seeing this club in the prem with a shiny new stand... problem is, it seems a lot further away at the moment than it has for a couple of years.

That may well be the case, but all of this could and should have been avoided.

The Press in this Country think they have a divine right to stick their noses into everything; when they start to ask questions they expect answers; if answers are not forthcoming they look to alternative sources for answers, and then it starts to get very messy.

Marinakis and Vrentzos are probably not used to that level of scrutiny; unfortunately it comes with the territory in the UK.

If they think that by keeping theirs heads down these issues will blow over, they are going to be very disappointed.

It is to be hoped that results pick up from here on in and Vrentzos keeps his head down; otherwise the noise from Taylor will get louder and that will attract the attention of other Journalists; it will then turn into a free for all.

True pal. Can't disagree with you there. The picture can change very quickly though. I am feeling even more optimistic now that EM has installed Hughton at the helm.

I think it's good for all parties tbh. In fact I think had folk given the new regime a bit more of a slap early doors as to how the Championship operates, then we wouldn't have spent so many years chasing our tails & making the wrong decisions.

But as Sniff says, it's a balance. Plenty of good decisions have been made too. Big V is meant to be a financial genius, and it's easy to forget big sales like Brereton. 

Hopefully this will all simply wake the top brass up into realising that to get the best from experienced, proven managers like Hughton you need to back them & empower them. Not bog them down with OTT restrictions, or a ton of players who have been selected by people who have virtually no idea about the Championship, or what it takes to get promoted out of it.
