Now the dust has settled, its time for the dreaded rate the window poll. I'm sure readers of the 2021 summer equivalent would have some fun going back and seeing how we rated that rag tag group!
Anyway, ratings out of 10 for what we did and what we've seen so far.

10 for bodies through the door but jury will remain out as to quality and as to whether we signed too many players to effectively forge into a team capable of competing.

I put 8, I actually think it's a 10 for effort, 10 for commitment, 10 for name recognition. Starting to look like we've left ourselves short up top, only one striker and he looks like he could be a dud.
Can I change my vote to a 9?

Its too early to say really and lets face it we would all score a point or two higher but for yesterday’s 2nd half.
Should we stay up its an 8-10, go down its a 3.
Appreciate we had very very little time to put a squad together and were a month behind every other team.
My opinion we only needed 12-14, certainly not 22, Im don’t believe it helps team spirit. Too many echos of the summer of Sabri 2 years ago.
Just not convinced there was joined up thinking all the way. Were they all really Cooper’s choices? I think we can already see from his team selections there are a few he doesn’t fancy. I wish we had been a little more with the continuity and tried harder to bring in some of last seasons loans.

I agree with the loans thing, would've made it easier to bring through newer players too. Also, Davis hasn't been replaced and Garner is better than what I've seen so far from the ones signed. Arguably even Zinc suits the system more.
Doesn't seem like Cooper rates Dennis/Taiwo particularly.
It's worth noting that 3 of those 2 are already on loan so not really sure it's fair to count those ones.
So just the 18...

Early doors. But so far as individuals only a few have given 7 out of 10 performances consistently in the league games they've played. Hendo, Williams, Mangala, OBrien.
Others have shown glimpses, but too early for me to judge.
Obviously numbers wise 21/10...
Impact at this very early stage 5/10 could do better-and no doubt will do once Cooper works his magic.

I rate Niakhate, O'bBrien, Mangala on showings so far. Strangely, I think Neco has underwhelmed in an attacking sense, certainly set pieces were awful first few games. Toffolo is very much decent backup. Beyond that, Awoniyi and Dennis not really had much time and not seen anything of Frueler. MGW is better version of Lingard at present.
Really lacking Keinan replacement which I think we all agreed was needed on here following the friendlies.

7. The lack of a stand out striker is the issue. Mi d, it is difficult to say as so many players have not really been given the chance properly yet.
Some really good signings in there.

Maybe and I still believe you are correct.
But there are a few disturbing echos of 2 years ago when most of us convinced ourselves that signing Taylor, Arter, Knockaert, Freeman, Blackett, Ionanou, Bachirou and Guerrero was going to fire us to promotion.
More does not necessarily equal better.

Oh and we had better get used to opposition fans rating of our transfer window.
“20 new players, they're all fxxxing sxxt!”
Think we may be hearing that a lot. On a different point thought our support was down a notch yesterday, we have to accept where we are at and stay behind the team. Our only hope is home wins and we need to play our part.
