Players On International Duty

Doesn't seem to be a thread for this.

Noticed Phillips is starting today and Gallagher and Henderson are the only real similar players on the bench, one is obviously past it and one is also not playing (although I'm sure will do fine next season at Newcastle!).

So basically my conclusion is Yatesy can't be far off due to lack of options!

I'm off to Leicester this afternoon to see England v France U21s. MGW is the Captain which is a great honour for the lad. Should be a close game with plenty of talent to see.

Yep Morgan played well delivering a peach of a pass for the first goal. Subbed after about 70 minutes. Poor crowd i thought only12000 odd. Sure we could have done better.

I did post last night but since I've read in one paper that he rated 7.5 which seemed fair to me. The first half was dominated by France but they were pretty poor upfront. Morgan was neat but his mates failed to pass well and so he had a job on but he did well. Second half was totally different and he played his part in a much improved performance including a great pass making the first goal of 4. Impressive I'd say to beat France by 4 at any level. Loads os Reds supporters there!

Just read that Chris Wood has returned from New Zealand having failed to play in their 2 games due to his injury.

I'm sure a flight to new Zealand and back in a single week will do wonders for his recovery. Who is making these decisions? Its crazy.

They aren't just allowed to withdraw players for no reason. I presume you need a scan or an agreement with the club. Fairly sure the countries are allowed to get their people to review the players themselves too.

If it was easy every team would stop their players going.
