Lots of our Older players out of contract in 2024 allows us to clear out and have add some quality rater than quantity :-

Serge
Mckenna
Kouyate
Wood
Shelvey
Hennessy
Hovarth
Arter
Filipe
Boly
Soh
Aina (year extension option )
Scarpa has left , expect a few more fringe players out on loan to leave aswell in 2024 .
loans to go back in Jan too .

Core age of rest of squad is 26  :-
Nino if signed 26
Niakhate 26
Mangala 25
Tiawo 26
Sangare 26
Dominguez 25
Aina 27
Yates 26

Elanga, CHO, Murillo, MGW, Danilo and Neco all under 23

Another 2 transfer windows of signing players under 26 puts us in a very good position .
Seems like we have gone back to the Original Plan .

For me, those players in bold, I would offer a 1 years contract extension to on present showing.

I would let Serge go IF we managed to sign Montiel on a permanent. I think he has so much to offer, although he does still have those sex offence allegations that are still ongoing. If we dont sign Montiel on a perm, then give serge a one year extension to either compete with Neco or as back up. Unless we sign someone new of course

Wood, whilst he seems to have hit form under NES, cost us a fortune which we wont get back, I think we may get another year out of him, but he is getting older and he will start to slow down due to his age and injuries will take longer to heal. But it would be a shame to let him go now his form is on the up.

Boly is our best CB at the minute and he does know NES from his time at Wolves. A one year extension for me wouldnt be a bad decision.

Wood and Boly should get a 1 year extension maybe on lesser wages though

Nothing to stop Shelvey coming back now.

His issue was with the prior coaching team.....they are all gone now............so another "clean slate" to be issued to him ?

He is a good player........and if Nuno can use him well, why not.

Maybe and Im in favour of clean slates. Depends if his issue was with the squad too which we don’t know. Not sure if he is a Nuno player.

Way back for Dennis too?

George Shelvey is out of contract at the end of this season but the club holds an option to extend his deal by a further year.

Stranger things have happened - remember Watson’s resurgence under Sabri?

Serge
Mckenna
Kouyate
Wood
Shelvey
Hennessy
Hovarth
Arter
Filipe
Boly

Let them go all of them I can't see any point in renewing any of them.

Some decent signings there though with Boly, Felipe, Aurier, Mckenna, Wood and Kouyate all playing a big part at various times.

Only one I'd keep would be Boly.
