And we're off...

The first PL game of the season will be played on Saturday 22nd August. Followed by the 2 teams meeting again 3 days later in the League Cup.

The venue is the world famous City Ground in Nottingham.

Kick off is at 15:00 for the PL match and 20:00 for the cup match.

Lets get the first 3 points on the board and into the next round of the cup, that would be a cracking start to the new season.

Woohoo football's back!

I'm looking for a calm season, no fighting relegation this season, just a gentle improvement without ever looking in trouble.

A nice cup run too.

I'm looking to win the lottery and immediately retire, but we don't always find what we're looking for.

Laugh out loud

First team selection will be interesting. Reading his interview comments I reckon he might not start with Diomande so we could see something like:

----------------------------Sels----------------------------
-------------Cunha----Milenkovic----Murillo------------
Williams-------Sangare------McAtee--------------Aina
--------------------MGW---------Ndoye------------------
---------------------------Jesus----------------------------

But I wouldn't be totally surprised to see Netz in for Aina and swapping Williams to the right. Or Schlager in for McAtee. Or Wood for Jesus. Nice to have some options already even before (hopefully) bringing others in).

Subs something like: John, Diomande, Morato, Netz, Dominguez, Schlager, Yates, Wood, Kalimuendo

Which still leaves CHO, Hutchinson and Bakwa not in the squad at all. Options indeed!

I think this may be the game we lose our Academy product in the team streak! Can't see Yates or Abbott making the bench with options available

Yep me too, dreaming of nice mid table obscurity and maybe a cup run. Stay out the news. No negative headlines, it would be lovely.

And then I woke up and realised that just isn't the Forest way.

Cannot wait for it to get underway now. Really excited for a saturday 3pm home game.

The pre match beers will hit nicely, and go and get 3 points.
