I spoke with the stand manager after the game, and he agreed that the queue before the game is unacceptable and a disgrace. But there is nothing Nottingham Forest can do. 

The Premier League has insisted that EVERY fan entering the stadium must be scanned for knives. Every fan. There is nothing they can do. They can't discriminate. Every fan.

The official advice is to arrive at the ground an hour before kick-off. And do what?

We got there at 2pm and walked straight in. Had a couple of beers stood in the sun. Were the queues bad later then?

The scans are so half arsed they are totally pointless anyway. If anyone was idiotic enough to have a knife they just need to say “its me keys mate” when it bleeps and in you go.

We walked straight in at about 2pm

What caught me out yesterday is that they have closed two of the bars, the one which is part of the media centre and the automated machine when you enter via the turnstiles. It’s going to be carnage when the weather isn’t as great and people get in early for a pint.

Also what’s the red monstrosity they’ve installed next to the 1865 entrance? It takes up a huge amount of floor space in an area that was already very crowded pre kick off.

It really feels like they’ve actually made the fan experience materially worse for anyone in the A - C Blocks.

Main issue at the Peter Taylor stand was that there was less people searching than turnstiles open. I got to the front and wasn’t even searched. Missed kick off. Shambles.
