On Saturday 12th September we make the short trip to Villa Park.

Be nice to get some revenge for that EL defeat last season.

Kivk off is at 3pm.

COYR!
Panic on the streets of Croydon, Derby, Sheffield, Leicestershire.

Just a few stats

46% of Villa goals last season were scored by Watkins and Rogers - both left

32% of Villa goals were scored by set pieces - Austin McPhee their set piece coach has also left !

What could possibly go wrong !

Forest missed their chance v Spurs despite actually taking it.
I expect them to take their chance this weekend v Villa.
Glasner has to make progress with this team.

Jesus in for N'Doye for starters.
If Murillo is back then Diomande for Jair, I know he's played well but we want match winners and for all the talk about him I'm expecting a match winner.
Aina or Munoz I don't mind.
Schlager & McAtee I'm happy with in the middle of the park.
Delap up top.

Fingers crossed.
Best time to be playing them, and they will be under pressure to win

I didn't like how we stood off Spurs at the weekend. It was like we were playing what we thought Spurs were rather than what they actually are, which is a side that's been thrown together and still trying to find it's rhythm. Villa are in a different situation but in similar shape. I hope we go there and play what's in front of us rather than assume that they're still last year's Villa, who were considerably stronger.

Diomande for Milenkovic for me.

They play club Brugge this evening not a massive journey I guess but their first mid week European game they are yet to score

Yeah be interesting to see how they get on tonight, another defeat without scoring would really dent confidence. Brugge were decent at home last year but lost a couple of key players as well.

Always look forward to a villa away day. One of the best away days for me, will be nice to see a result on the pitch though.

Going to be a very interesting game and hugely important for both teams. A point is better for forest than villa but neither will be happy with that if they want to get their season up and running. The longer it goes on the harder it will be to get out of it and the bigger the gap to Europe will get, even high end midtable will start to require a long winning run.
The records show 75% of the time teams finish within 6 spaces of there position after first 10 games.
We need a win before it starts feeling like ange part 2.

Be interesting where McGinn plays, he'd fancy a game bullying McAtee.

I might be imagining it, but McGinn always seems to have a blinder against us.

Could really do with him having an off day against us for once.

Also think we’ve lost there every match since promotion. Sure the last time we got anything at Villa park was the 5-5, which feels like a lifetime ago.

So it’s time for our boys to turn up and get this season going.
