In Dublin's Fair City, where the Girls are so Pretty.
I first set my eyes on Sweet Molly Malone.
As she wheeled her Wheel Barrow, through street broad & narrow.

Come all without, come all within
You ain't seen nothing like the mighty Jim
Come all without, come all within
You ain't seen nothing like the mighty Jim

The Mighty Jim Baxter, my memory of Jim is at Filbert Street, He came on ay Halftime, not long after that I was hit on the Head by a flying Coke Can (Full), very painful!

I've scoured youtube a bit but can't find that many/any older chants, having said that there will no doubt somewhere be out there but probably on a reel to reel in a loft.

Going back to the 60's, 50's and earlier how have game atmospheres changed, was there a time you feel the chants hit a peak, the all seaters and plastic and commercialism have obviously stunted this, I guess the peak for volume and passion and diversity of chants would be the 70s?

Yes, I agree with 60`s & 70 `s, also during this period, there was many a Toilet Roll thrown streaming onto the pitch.
Too expensive nowadays to do that, plus you would never get away with it.

Joe Baker, Joe Baker, is it true what Trent End sing, you are our King, whoaa

I`m enjoying this thread, I`m back there in the Trent End singing these songs, brilliant, its like it was yesterday.
