Teams On Form
#1
Tree
After this series of 5 games (between the international breaks), our form is 9th.
Looking at the form table of these last five games, one will notice that our only defeat came against Norwich (the form team with five wins from five).
The other four teams that we played are all below us in the form table (last 5 games).
Bolton 23rd
Sheff Utd 18th
Stoke 15th
Leeds 14th

To note that up there (above us), you can find:
QPR 2nd
Birmingham 4th
Preston 8th

not big hitters and teams that had to go through some serious cost cutting this summer.
If there form will continue its another matter.

Surprisingly is WBA form, before the Leeds win, this break was a disaster for them ...losing three and drawing one ..even Stoke, they only won once in this break drawing three and losing the other...

Two points to make here from my point of view.

1. If Roofes goal at Leeds had been ruled out like every man and his dog knows that it should have been then we would be second in the form table over the last 5 games.

2. If we stretch the form out to the last 10 games instead of five then that also puts us in second place in the table.

I for one am very happy at the way things are going at the moment.

So, the only team who are on a better run of form than us at the moment (going on what Duncan wrote above regarding Leeds amd 10 games) is Norwich.

Sounds good to me!

Duncan...you might be right there...the thing is episodes are episodes, World Cups and Champions League were won on episodes...
in short... where we where before the last break? where we are now? ... just asking here ... teams on form change week in week out ... who knows who will be on form team in the next series of games ? ...
I say Stoke ...(just to throw a name in the hat) .... who is your guess...?

I agree Duncan. I will go as far as to include the last 11 games (after the first international break when things started to fall into place). In this "form" table Forest is 3rd behind Norwich and QPR with 20 points (1,82 on average per game). Forest has the second best goal difference behind Norwich and is one of 3 teams that has only lost once in this period. I believe Forest is very much in the mix  :)

I think it's about time we started to give the manager and team a bit of credit where credit is due.

They have for the most part been trememndous over the last 10/11 games.

I agree with Duncan.

We are too quick to criticise sometimes.

A big 'well done' to the players and staff for the recent form they have shown.

I am very confident of at least making the play offs.

Our current form suggests that my optimism is well founded.

Are there 6 teams who are better than us in this league?

I am not convinced that there is despite what the current table says.

I like the fact we're operating under the radar.

Regardless of the stats it feels to me like we're as good as anybody at the moment and probably a little better.

And, our standards are rising.

I agree 100% with the above poster.
