With the albeit ‘too little, too late’ improvement of performance and rumours of three or four very decent signings and some ambitious loans, does anyone else share my optimism for next season?
I’ve always felt the criticism of MON was rather harsh and that it would be next season, not this season that we would see the benefit of a truly premiership quality manager.

Yes, definitely.
It used to take a few weeks of football free June to get the enthusiasm back; it doesnt take that long now!
Criticism will always be there, regardless of who the manager is; thankfully most of it is confined to the Web.
Apart from one or two exceptions, the crowd have always got behind the team and manager when and where it matters; in the ground.

Not me I’m afraid.
I’ve renewed for next season like I always do. But we’ll just have to see what the first few months bring I suppose.

I do not believe we will be promoted next year we will finish pretty much, where we are now. Some highs and some lows on the way but I can’t see us pushing top 6 for a while yet.

I think we will have a half decent start and be there or there about around Christmas. Hopefully!

i am optimistic. we have 2 windows to build on this team with a good manager . i dont think top 6 was ever feasible this season.

I am optimistic, why not?
We have a decent squad that we will improve on, a good manager who is proven and good owners.
Why is there any reason not to be optimistic?

Ha football fans are so fickle! Ask this two weeks ago and people would be predicting relegation. The boro win was a very pleasant surprise but I don’t suddenly like his previous treatment of carvalho. Therefore I want to be optimistic but I fear after we lose the opening few games after he starts Watson and Yates above carvalho I imagine the crowd will turn again.
Optimistic in terms of the team though, think we’re not far off a really good side and I expect some of the young players to continue to improve. This season has shown you don’t have to be great to go up either
