Option 1. Sell Lolley for £10M
Option 2. Sell Carvalho for £10M
Option 3. Sell Osborn AND Appiah for £10M
Option 4. Dont sell anyone but we cant buy for a fee either.
Right, don't yell at me its just a theoretical argument, I’m not saying we will or should sell anybody just having a debate! I would have done it as a poll but cant work out how to
We know MON wants to strengthen but we have also been told from the hierarchy that funds will be more limited than last season. In that case if we want to raise funds we may want to cash in on someone. Of course our hands could be forced eg if a prem team comes in for Lolley.
But in that scenario do we sell? Or should Martin get what he can back for Carvalho If he isnt in his plans? Or I have added the curve ball option , we suspected Oz may leave but what about adding in Appiah to raise the same amount of money, someone who we really dont know his potential yet.
For the sake of argument I have assumed all 3 options generates the same total fee, I know some of you will say Lolley is worth more etc. Thoughts?

Difficult dilema Salvatore but after giving it some thought IF we had to sell someone (we don't) I would go for option 3 but personally I wouldn't do it.
I understand it's a theoretical argument but we can raise funds from the sales of Ansarifard, Tachstidis, Cummings etc but granted it won't be 10M!

Difficult decisions but I suppose someone has to make them.
I'd sell Osborn and Appiah.
Lolley and Carvalho will form creative the attacking threat.
We have to strengthen in the middle to partner Yates and a striker to push Grabban.

Yep hopefully won’t come to it but keep lolley/carvalho, sell anyone else we get offers for I guess. Is there anyone else we’d be that sad to lose for a decent fee?

Arvin - No chance he will go this summer. This kid will be worth a fortune in 12 months. Nowhere near reached his peak value.
Lolley - prob reached his peak value, but is integral to our chances of success next season. So we won’t sell him unless a crazy offer comes in.
Carv - we won’t take a loss on him and also his value will go up if he has a good season next year, also integral to our chances.
Ozzy - I think he will leave in summer. Reached his peak value now IMO, wanted to join Stoke in Jan and they are supposedly still very keen. If they put the 6m back on table that they offered in Jan, then I think it would be good business to re-invest in squad.

I would take options 1 to 3 this summer and recruit to suit.

None, we should sell the stadium to ourselves.

why couldn't this thread of been called 'how much will Forest spend this summer? Poll A £10m B £20m C £30m , is there something going around that there is a shortage of money or FFP problem? I assumed Forest would generally be spending and acquiring some quality. I think it's the first time in a while we do have a few assets but the main players in the team and a few of the peripherals.
A thread or this thread could of been 'Is the short term buy success experiment over (before it has really properly begun)? Poll A Yes we are in dire straights got to sell all the family silver and rely on the academy and loans from NOtts. B Bought good players 10 years ago and past there sell by date quicker than expected or C Your joking, Marinakis has £50m lined up on a summer bonanza!
Are we clutching at straws to find something to ruin our optimism, having said that maybe we do have £30m plus worth of assets which could be sold to reinvest, but after Warbs slow build and AK's 50 players, £50m 2 year plan maybe we need something down the middle?

We’re well stocked in centre halves, if we have to sell could be Osbourne & Worrall?

From what I gather on here Osborn wants to go so that’s a few million there. As for the others I wouldn’t sell any of them.

It’s a no brainer, sell Osborn who we didn’t pay anything for and bring in better.

I would go with option D sell Osborn, Cash and Worrall plus as many fringe players as possible to give us a nice sum to go out and buy quality. I would also avoid buy Colback. Good player but not for the money that is being said it will cost.
