Next Few Games

I'm a bit bored at work today with the lack of any Forest action beginning to kick in so I've just been browsing our next set of fixtures up until the next interational break. These are:

Swansea A Sat
Barnsley H Sat
Arsenal A Tues (cup)
Stoke A Fri
Blackburn A Tues
Brentford H Sat.

It looks like another tough little run of fixtures but maybe easier than the start. Swansea are flying high, Stoke will surely improve at some point and Blackburn A on a Tuesday night looks a hard game. Brentford at home is always tough for us.

I'd go:

Swansea A Sat - Lose
Barnsley H Sat - Win
Arsenal A Tues - Lose
Stoke A Fri - Draw
Blackburn A Tues - Draw
Brentford H Sat. - Win

For the Statto's on here our current standing is this:

This time last year:
P6 W1 D4 L1 pts7
This year:
P6 W2 D3 L1 pts9

After 11 games last year:
P11 W3 D7 L1 pts16
If my predictions for the next six games is right it would be:
P11 W4 D5 L2 pts17

So even with just 2 league wins out of the next 6, we would still be in a comparable position to last year, which is not bad going IMO for a rookie championship manager and a team of new recruits.

I would take that return plus beating Arsenal.

Just 2 home games out of the next 6. Not easy.

These games and break will show what SL is made of. During the month of August he complained of the lack of time on the training grounds with the players, now he had a week plus ( as the other teams)... I will be super happy with 12 points, reasonably happy with 10 ...not easy...come on Sabri...let's show them what you are made of...

according to my chart 10 points over the next 5 games should see us established in the play offs and 3 points better off than the same time last year and theoretically 3 points from the automatic places (assumed average of 2 points per game - 22 points from 11 games). We would sit on 19 points.

All to play for !
Here we go.....

I would be perfectly happy with the 11 points and to lose at Arsenal.
