Just realised that he doesn't have his own thread.
We simply have to find a way to get him fit and playing. Our record with him in the team and him not being in the team is absolutely black and white.
He is crucial to our chances of success this season. In fact I would say that our chances of success depends on him and our results with and without him backs up that claim.
Also what about next season? Sow is without doubt a top player but should we dip into the transfer market to sign a player in Sow's position who is gong to actually play in the majority of our games?

Can somebody remind me please...............is Sow a loan player or one of ours? My head is telling me he is on loan from Benfica right?
I really am starting to hate this getting old lark now!! :(

Yes we do need a reliable box to box midfielder. Most forget that Sow was a very pleasant surprise, no one had ever heard of him but he has made a huge difference and shows the importance of someone in that role. I think the last effective player similar to him was probably Cohen. Lansbury did it in patches, I thought Bridcutt was one who could have done it too but didnt work out.
Before anyone else says it, no Colback is not the answer.

We have struggled to pick up points without Sow in the team. That tells me that whatever we have tried without him it has failed.
I am probably in a minority here but if Sow is going to be missing then why not put Matty Cash in there?
We have cover at right back for Cashy in Jenkinson and Darikwa.

I think Cash centre mid is actually a good shout, only concern is he is a bit lightweight for that role. He has every other attribute though. Would have thought they have at least tried it in training?

I'd rather have put Cash in cm than Semedo.
And subbed Dawson on.
We'd have won that last game.
But that's academic. You win and lose games in midfield.
No Sow. No wins. No playoffs.
The record without our player of the season is clear.
SA.

Lets get Cashy in there. All action, full of energy, box to box. He will get goals too.

Agree with you on Semedo which is a shame. He has the ability, reckon its the concentration and attitude that’s missing with him.

I might be being a bit over dramatic here but I think our season depends on Sow being fit unless we try something different in his absence that we haven't tried yet.

Yates just isn't good enough but the manager keeps playing him. Semedo doesnt inspire any confidence.
No sow no points . Just shows how pivotal one good midfield player is.

We have to keep in mind that every time Sow has played he has played together with Watson. Personally I think I would have selected Watson of the two if I was forced to choose.
