Very pleased and it appears good that Chris Brass and George Syrianos will soon be joining the club.

Another good for me although some won't agree is that Hughton appears to be staying.

The bad, well another total overhaul of playing staff appears to be on the cards, a kind of rip it up and start again summer.

The ugly, can't really see anything to set alarm bells ringing at the moment.

All in all I'm cautiously optimistic for a decent 2021/22 season.

It appears that the owner is finally listening and is prepared to correct the mistakes made before, I just hope that they have learnt from those past mistakes in regards to player recruitment, onwards and upwards.

It will be I am convinced of that. The big man seems hurt by this season. In a funny way this seasons failures might actually do us some good in the long run.

The benefit of letting people learn from their mistakes and grow. I hope this same principle can be applied to the manager's position too

Don't think EM really expected anything in the first couple of years when we consider what state the club was in when he took it over, we were one breath from death. Of course he had to show some ambition and positivity though by saying that the aim is promotion.

Last year the third season we came close.

This season though has been a total failure no questions asked. EM knows it and it looks like he's acting on it so fair play to him for that.

Changing direction will still cost them about 15-20m a year just to cover losses. There is no way to avoid this without not signing a single player and letting all the contracts expire.

Until parachute payments are gone or we sneak up this will always be an issue.

Another good that has come out of this season has been the implosion down the road at the Sheep Dip. At least during a somewhat uninspiring season, we have had the mutton fiddlers keep us entertained, and they continue to do so.

I'm cautiously optimistic by the noises being made about recruitment, manager and cat 1 status - feels more of a long term plan rather than short termism.

As for recruiting players and the current squad - that is trickier. The team so underperformed that's its hard to think of two many players that would start. Samba, Worrall and McKenna. If Colback and Lolley recover from injury and rediscover form then they would both strengthen the side. Soh, Cafu, Yates, Mighten and Johnson I would assume will play a decent role next year. After that I'm struggling. Taylor underwhelmed. Blackett is a decent squad player. Ribeiro and figs would need to up their game as he has often struggled this year and perhaps a fresh start would do help their confidence

Will Grabban leave - he's never been at one club for more than three seasons so could feel like moving on. Carvalho?? Will Hughton fancy giving him a chance if he comes back?

Personally I see us needing a couple of full backs (unless they think Gabriel can step up). At least one winger, a number 10 and a couple of strikers

Apparently Richard Keogh is now the most expensive defender in Championship history, they paid £1m to Chaventry to buy him, he cost them £70m in the playoffs and now they've had to pay him off by another £3m.

Looks like the big man has put his hand up and said that this isn't working, looking forward to big changes both on and off the pitch.
