I must say I am getting a bit despondent with his negative approach to games, but in mitigation, perhaps he really does know what he is doing, and is currently trying to keep us in survival mode until reinforcememts arrive. Saying that if we lose again on Wednesday, he might be walking the plank perhaps ?

We have a back four, whereby the full-backs are permitted to occasionally support an attack, but only seem to overlap to allow the wide player to cut inside, and then to CDM's who can't break rank.

So it's so hard for us to get our front four on the ball early.  The opposition set up because we get the ball into their feet so slowly, we can't create effectively.  Garner was brilliant because despite the restrictions, he can play fantastic switches and his passes are always into the path of a teammate, so we could move it quicker.

What's going to happen as it stands, is people are going to start criticising Johnson... etc and claim they're being invisible.  But they need the ball into their feet QUICKLY.

Formation, not a problem.
Roles within the formation? Problem.

Hughton will only succeed if you give him better plays for HIS system, there's no adaptability going to occur.

He left Newcastle because Llambias wanted the job for his mate Pardew and it did not go down to well with the supporters, as reported at the time

Brighton is a different kettle of fish altogether; Hughton managed Brighton to the pitiful league positions of 15th and 17th during his two years in charge in the PL, whereas Potter, who many think is the second coming, managed to propel Brighton to the stratospheric heights of 15th and 16th place finishes.

He departed all three clubs when they were in the PL; his record in the EFL, you know, the league we are in, is second to none.
