Also can we stop taking the knee in season 2021/22. I think that one has run it's course now. I don't want Football to become so politicised.

I'm not sure the players that are getting abused on social media and in the stands would call this a political issue.

I'm not denying that the gesture isn't having an impact however I'm not sure getting rid of it is the answer. In fact people booing the gesture is just providing fuel to the debate and hopefully forcing people to address some uncomfortable questions.

If it is replaced then I would expect something else to replace it.

They are booing it though for the reason I mentioned. People want to keep politics out of football, I am sure they are not booing it for any other reason. Just for the record there are also many black players who don't agree with it and who are fed up with it too.

It is political - Black Lives Matter is a political movement. They describe themselves as that on their own website.

The big problem is that instead of an anti-racial, anti-discrimination campaign based on values that every fair-minded person could support, the protest is allied to a political movement. It gives reason for fair-minded people to oppose it, and a cover for racists to oppose it. That was a problem for it across the world, not just football.

Also, and again this is measurable rather than just opinion, addressing something in a divisive manner like this aggravates a problem, not solves it.

The players have been very clear they are not representing the political movement though. Is that not enough?

Is the answer just simply to pick a different gesture? Would surely at least remove the political argument as an excuse.

So the bookies have just released pre season odds. Forest have odds of 18/1 to win the league title next season. So for anybody that doesn’t understand betting, if you take this bet, This would mean that a if you bet £20 it would result in you losing £20

Completely agree Sniff. It’s become a hollow ritual with political connotations which has out stayed it’s welcome.

Yes I hope we can move on from that at the start of this coming season.

So what would you prefer to replace it?
