They were fully rattled from the off, I have never seen Van Dijk so angry from the first minute, you could see that we had disrupted their mindset because they kept taking pop shots from 25 yards out, it was a little desperate on their part to be honest, and Slot could not focus on his job.

A good point but means nothing if we don’t win on Sunday.

Said same to the Wife, VVD was raging at half time with his fellow defenders. Ive no doubt he went mad at HT. Got to give it to him, proper leader

The way Morato man handled him was brilliant.

As was how Murillo cleaned out Luis Diaz off the ball with zero repercussions.

That was a highlight lol

Diogo Jota is the devil.  He always scores against us and aaaargh I knew he was going to do it again.  The game got frantic which played into the scouse hands but we almost caught them on the break numerous times and when Cho switched fields only the brilliance of Van Dyke stopped Elanga and (was it Aina?) being on goal.  That would have wrapped it up.  Murillo in the first half had it going but I wished he had played in Wood again rather than shot because I believe he would have scored again.

We were knackered and holding on at the end and I thought we were going to blow it but didn't.  Magnificent from the boys.  Interesting that Darwin Nunez wasn't used.  Is there any truth to us maybe being interested?  I think he would have been ace for us against them as he is as fast as lightning.

We will see in the next few weeks (clearly we are after Sesko but I would take the mad nutter Uruguayan.).

I was baying like a banchee at the game and probably disturbed all my clients as i was at work.  Great night.  Wish we had done the double but we rattled them and almost did it twice.

Proud of the boys.

Chicago: Like A Kid again.

It was Elanga who VVD superbly slowed down if being kind, still think there was room to go past him but Elanga didn't fancy it

And Nunez was suspended fyi

Well 24 hrs on and my heart rate is just about back to normal.

Awful goal to concede and it gave them confidence thereafter, but Sels showed what he's great at to keep them out.

Watching them come forward so tentatively first 45 minuted showed how they were so concerned. I counted 6 players behind the ball on one of our counter attacks. Still couldn't stop us, with some great midfield work from Anderson and the perfect run and pass from Elenga, finished off with aplomb.

Every time they stopped a counter attack at source by cropping someone (usually MGW) I was awaiting the yellow. Whe  it did come it was for complaining about aforementioned cropping. Yates held someone to stop their counter once (was it even a foul?) and the book was straight out.

The boys dug in,  easy to be wise after the event but 10 minuted into second half we were saying it's Marato time.

Overall though we were magnificent and I was very proud of them.

Special mention for A block  on top form absolutely destroyed Slot, shame he was able to laugh it off afterwards as he got a point.

Atmosphere was rocking. I love it most though when the boys need a lift and we come up trumps as happened in injury time.

Reset and go again Sunday.
