Nottingham Forest - Blackburn Rovers
Just looking back on the highlights again. Some bright play by Forest.

The 1st goal was soft. Was it Fig that gave away the freekick (and ball watched for the 2nd goal...dreadful.). And the keeper just seems to react late.

Great build up play by Grabban to get it out to Zinc Man whose otherworldly ability did the rest for the goal.

The 2nd goal was key stone cops defending. With Samba all over the place (wonder what Clough would have made of that...) and Figs just ball watching like Statue Man as the defender gets the header in.

Recruits required. We need a change of player at Goal Keeper, a proper incoming monster CH. (And I won't mention getting players in at LB, CM and Striker.)

There was lots of bright play in the first 15 minutes without creating much in terms of clear chances... a Couple of long distance shots.

Once Blackburn got in to the game there was only one outcome and you could see it happening. He certainly the booing from the fans. It was so clear what was going to happen.

We had a good spell once they had scored and we got back level but then we stopped again. And from then it was only a matter of time as we allowed Blackburn to come on to us instead of going for the when we were on top.

It's a mix bag as to whose fault this is though.

CH needs to get the player to attack. His instructions are clear in terms of being defensive and he has to get the players to go for teams. He can do this whilst using the same formation... the end result is if we have a go at teams and lose the fans can get behind a team going for a win, pressuring a man opponent.

The recruitment team needs to bring in players. The squad is weaker than last year and is only heading in one direction. They need to stop fooking around with half hearted offers and spend money. If we haven't got any money to Spend then tell us.

IMO CH needs to go but the recruitment team need a boot up the arse as well.

Blackburn are battle hardened, BIG and well drilled.  Vs?  A rookie squad with gaps at LB, CM, Striker.  We have a CH who doesn't want to be here.  Half a team of kids.  I'm guessing it wasn't Hughton's plan to start the season like that?

It was still a close result which is testament to Hughton's skills.  But he can't make players like Figs and Samba not make the errors they did.  They're not top 6 stuff.

It's hard to account for a keeper error (key stone cops style) for the 3rd game in a row with Figs stood there gawping.  We should have 3 draws already.

Hughton's on the hook for the lack of recruitment, eh?
