Manchester City - Nottingham Forest
What I was watching was the closing down........... because they pass a lot with one touch, its impossible to close them down.

Whereas our players were taking multiple touches and so were closed down very easily. We need to be more fluid, which will happen as the team gels...........

Next time we play City I expect it to be much more competitive.

Our defence is still very weak, we did look better with Biancone coming on at RCB, he looks more composed on the ball than Worrall. We need players who are composed on the ball and can pass quickly............ Worrall and Kouyate and McKenna all got found out badly.

If you watch City, they had their front three close down our back 3 all the time.....so we were screwed.

We needed 1 up front and 1 extra in the middle (not 2 up front) and so the game was lost badly there.

Should have been Colback/Yates/Ferrier across the middle, with Johnson OR MGW up front. Why Cooper played 2 up front, I dont know, perhaps he wanted to see how it would perform, knowing the consequences........more of a "data gathering" game plan perhaps ?

Positives
- We don't play City away again this season.
- Our support was non stop.
- Even at 5-0 City fans were triggered by "Champions of Europe" song.

Negatives
- Got no voice left
- Didn't get home until early hours due to roadworks everywhere.
- Couldn't get a beer anywhere near the ground.
- For the 1st time I can see the inevitability of a European Super League.
- Seeing just how big the gulf is.

Anyone who thinks we could have stopped this happening is dreaming. Circumstances meant that City felt they had something to prove.

"We could have done this and should have done that" all the keyboard managers have been our in force on social media and even some of the Yates haters are raising their heads. Another day we could have got away with 2 or 3, but they were so clinical and Haaland is something else. Watching his nonstop movement in the box, aligned with his pace and power made him unplayable.

To say we could have done something different is a bit like saying 100m runners should have run faster to beat Usain Bolt back in the day. The only way he wasn't winning gold medals was if he fell over.....and City didn't fall over.

Need supporters behind us again on Saturday.Much tougher game without Parker in charge.
