Not sure how we are defining our signings but from what I can see they have done a good job
Samba - Excellent signing will probably get premier league games at some stage in his career and is worth more than we paid on the pitch he is always worth a watch as well as being talented and is destined to be the best keeper we have had in years
Ribeiro - Definitely not shit, difficult to say with the amount of injuries but on the basis of what I've seen if he gets fit and stays fit he could be every bit as good a signing as Samba
Chema - Definitely not shit and very late to the party, if there is interest in him we should only sell if he is not enjoying the UK as he is showing signs of being a good player and has not disgraced himself playing out of position, wouldn't suggest he is going up in terms of estimation but Ok
Sow - Shame about the injuries shame about his age otherwise he'd be talked about as one of the finds of the season across the league, hopefully we can get him match fit as he's a bloody handful straight off a lay off
Jenkinson is unfair to judge with the injury however you could argue that was coming and also it looks less of a signing because of Cash emerging as a full back hindsight is a wonderful thing also solid mentions to Ameobi and Uncle Albert
As for the loan market firstly we don't target our main signings as loan signings we just don't go after the big ticket loanees from the EPL some clubs do they I'm glad we don't invest in what you own is a decent policy so therefore all our loans were high risk stocking fillers barring the kid from Man C who could and should have been better but besides that our shit signings have had little impact and are not disruptive
The only screw up of the summer was who we didn't sign namely a striker but we could easily reap the rewards of that in the long run, its a big investment and if your not ready your not ready better that than previous years of wasting money on panic signings no matter the need
Finally on the transfer front you have to look at the overall balance within the club and credit or demerits given for getting it right or wrong and from what I can see we have a good set of players where talks of divisions in the dressing room, toxic atmospheres and poor discipline are things of the past or at least enough of a togetherness to close ranks and keep it professional so from what I can see the transfer policy is succeeding and having its desired effect which was to turn us from pretenders to contenders, this has been achieved even if we are going through a bad run of form, the championship is about confidence back to back to back shit wins soon turns into expansive play as quick as pissing with the team at Wigan can derail the team for weeks if not months
