What a great day out and two amazing trips to Merseyside in 2024.

Was quite far from a perfect performance, we were sloppy with the ball, and in possession, at times, especially in defence but barring Ndiaye they had very little threat except for pumping the ball into the box.

Thought Elanga was superb, he literally did run himself into the ground.

The turnaround in contributions from him and MGW over the past month have been phenomenal and they deserve all the plaudits sent their way.

Anderson was brilliant first half and it was nice to hear him being highlighted on MOTD when I got home.

Also, Chris Wood, give the guy a two year contract. What a composed finish for his first and his awareness to play in MGW for his second warrants a mention as most strikers would have had their head down with one thing on their mind.

I’ve had some great away days this year and can’t help but dream that we will be experiencing some in Europe next season. It’s ours for the taking.
