Teams On Form

Why is it though that when we play the lesser teams it is when they are on an upturn in form? Hull, Preston and Ipswich are all seemingly having an upturn at the moment.

I see where you are coming from Ozzy but I prefer to look at it like this...

I don't think many teams are rubbing their hands at having to play us at the moment.

Our current form suggests that my optimism is well founded.

Are there 6 teams who are better than us in this league?

I am not convinced that there is despite what the current table says.

I agree 100% with the above poster.

Well said Jasper.

My feelings exactly.

There is absolutely nothing for us to fear in this league.

On current form over the last 10 games we are as good as anyone with the potential to get even better.

Let other teams worry about having to play us.

Couldn't agree more with that pal.

The top 2 is on.

Forest are tightening up at the back and Forest have scored goals all season.

My god, talk of a top 2 finish.

How refreshing is that after years of dross

Definitely cup half full for me, we will be in the mix by xmas im sure. Only 2 defeats and 2 goals conceded from corners is a massive improvement and shows AK is building from the back (as described in the book "Promotion For Dummies"). The fact we can potentially get more improvement out of 2 or 3 players in the attacking 3rd (or add to them in January) bodes well for the final push as i expect we will have the squad to cope by then. Im confident we have sustainability, providing Grabban, Carvalho, Lolley and Robinson stay fit and we sort a right sided attacker we will be there or thereabouts

Sensible post. We are slowly building an impressive squad, we are currently under the radar, I think we will surprise a few come March/ April, we have strength in depth for once.

I like being under the radar, be nice to stay there until there are 6-8 matches left to play and then storm into the top two with an unbeaten run at the end of the season.

Bsck on topic, lets see who the form teams are going to be when the action resumes after the break leading up to Christmas.

9 games ( in the period ending New Years Day ) to play in just 38 days.
We need to achieve a decent return ( from 4 home & 5 away games ).
20 points would be a good return in my view.
