Thought Gus struggled to find space last night and also the pace of the game seemed too much for him at times.

I would say that has been out issue so far. We have quality and we're better than we were showing. We just hadn't experienced the premier league before. Takes a bit of time to get to grips with and actually seeing players now settling.
I do think Gus will start to come into his own and help us attack quicker in games and do different things.

He's also doesn't appear comfortable with the press yet, same v Blackpool.
Yates was pushing further up to press in the center of the park ahead of Scarpa who would drop behind him, especially 2nd half.

This is all tactical though, only his 2nd game and I'm sure he will improve with minutes.

Probably be a bit harsh to kick off MGW from set pieces in the game against Wolves. Plus in fairness we've scored against Chelsea and Wolves now from corners.

He looked slow and well off the pace last night - a bit of culture shock of physicality I think. He also should have scored with his first touch of the ball!

Suggestion here that Scarpa could return to Palmeiras for €10m. If that were to happen it'd represent good business for us, having got him on a free.

 I hope not, we haven't really seen what he can offer us as he hasn't been given a real chance.

Can't imagine we'll see him loads even if he stays given he's the backup to our best player. I would still keep him to play that role though if he's comfortable with it. Seems like a good character and must be good for the young brazilians in the squad.

Unless there is an injury to MGW (heaven forbid) I just don’t see him getting on the pitch. That said it is useful to have cover in every position but would he be content just to wait around for that?
